Statement of Faith
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, authoritative, and sufficient Word of God. Scripture is the final standard for faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
The Triune God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, sharing the one divine nature.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for sin, was bodily raised from the dead, ascended into his heavenly throne, and will personally and bodily return.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God. He regenerates, indwells, sanctifies, empowers, guides, and supernaturally gifts believers for Christian life and ministry.
Salvation by Grace Through Faith
We believe salvation is by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation is God’s gracious work and produces a transformed life characterized by repentance and obedience.
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and united to Christ into the local church.
Government and Gifts
We affirm the continuing role of the Ephesians 4:11 five-fold government gifts, which are called to function in the church today.
We believe supernatural gifts described in the New Testament—including prophecy, tongues, interpretation of tongues, healing, discernment, and other gifts—may be exercised in the Church today according to Scripture.
Sanctification and Christian Living
Believers are called to grow continually in holiness through the work of the Holy Spirit and obedience to God’s Word. The Christian life should demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit, love for God and others, moral integrity, and faithfulness to Christ.
The Great Commission
We believe the Church is commanded by Christ to proclaim the gospel to every nation, make disciples, baptize believers, and teach them to obey everything Christ commanded.
The Return of Christ and Final Judgment
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, and bodily. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, everlasting life for the redeemed, and everlasting punishment for those who remain in their sins.
